CANCELED- SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras

Friday, March 27th at 8:00 p.m. | TICKETS

KSO to perform "Knoxville: Artists at Home"

We are sad to announce that the Kennedy Center has officially cancelled this year’s SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras. As authorities in the scientific and healthcare communities have continued to urge social distancing, we support their decision to prioritize the health of our artists, employees, patrons, and community at large. This cancellation includes the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s mini-residency and performance on March 27th & 28th.

Thank you so much for supporting your KSO during this time. We are saddened that we will not be able to participate in this national honor, but we are ever grateful for the support of our patrons. Your overwhelming support has been greatly appreciated and encouraging to our musicians.

We will continue to stay in touch with you during this evolving situation and look forward to again sharing great music with our patrons.

SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras is provided through a matching grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Additional support is provided by Daniel R. Lewis. SHIFT is presented in cooperation with the League of American Orchestras.
