Classroom Qs offers a unique concert experience provided by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s String Quartet or Woodwind Quintet. Students of grade levels 3rd through 12th are eligible to request a visit from one of our groups!

About Classroom Qs

  • Informal performances by small ensembles from the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra
  • Interactive age-appropriate presentations designed for student audiences new to classical music
  • General introduction to orchestral instruments
  • Q & A session with musicians about their instruments and musical backgrounds
  • Available October through April each season
  • Serving public schools, private schools and homeschool co-ops in Knox County and surrounding East Tennessee counties

Knox County Pricing:
Knox County Public Schools, Libraries, and Preschools: Free
Knox County Private Schools and Preschools, Homeschool Groups: $150

Outside of Knox County Pricing (within 30 miles of downtown Knoxville):
Public Schools, Libraries, and Preschools: Free
Private Schools and Preschools, Homeschool Groups: $250

Outside of Knox County Pricing (outside of 30 miles of downtown Knoxville):
Public Schools, Libraries, and Preschools: $100 minimum, plus additional travel charges determined by mileage
Private Schools and Preschools, Homeschool Groups: $250 minimum, plus additional travel charges determined by mileage
