Jessica Findley Yang


Jessica Findley Yang, from Wichita, Kansas, has held the positions of 2nd Bassoon with the Knoxville Symphony since 2018 and 2nd Bassoon with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera since 2016. She earned degrees from the University of Kansas and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and her primary teachers have included Eric Stomberg and William Winstead.

Jessica has attended summer music festivals including Shippensburg Symphony Festival, Festival Napa Valley, Sarasota Music Festival, Castleton Music Festival, and the Texas Music Festival, where she was the winner of the TMF concerto competition. She has been a guest performer with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, New World Symphony, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, among others.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading cookbooks and trying new recipes, hiking with her husband, and playing with her two cats Pepper and Chips.
