Josh Walker
Biography
A native of Harriman, Tennessee, Josh Walker has been the Knoxville Symphony’s Second Trombone since 1997. He received a Bachelor of Music in music education from the University of Tennessee where he studied trombone with Don H. Hough, Sr. and played in every type of ensemble that allowed a trombone to participate. Josh returned to school and graduated summa cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law. In addition to playing in the KSO, he serves as an Associate General Counsel in the University of Tennessee’s Office of the General Counsel, representing the University in various litigation matters.
Josh lives in Knoxville with his wife, Dayna, and two sons—Matthew, a goalkeeper and trombonist, and Nathan, a striker who is starting on a band instrument at this school. In addition to his music and legal work, Josh enjoys sports and the beautiful outdoors of East Tennessee.
