The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony Ball: Stars & Strikes brought more than 300 guests together at Covenant Health Park on March 21, 2026, for an evening of music, celebration, and community support.
Guests enjoyed silent and live auctions, dinner on the concourse overlooking the field, and a KSO program of patriotic and American-inspired selections featuring vocalist Michael Rodgers and a narrated performance of Casey at the Bat by the “Voice of the Smokies,” Mick Gillispie. The evening concluded with fireworks and batting practice with the Smokies’ pitching coach.

The event raised approximately $175,000 in support of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Ensembles (KSYE), which includes six youth orchestras, a Youth Wind Ensemble, two Youth Choirs, and a Youth Chamber Music Program. Together, these programs serve more than 500 students from 92 schools across 18 counties. Proceeds from the Symphony Ball help sustain and expand these opportunities, supporting the next generation of musicians across East Tennessee.
Next year’s Symphony Ball is scheduled for March 20, 2027.
