Knoxville Symphony to Celebrate July Fourth

with Free Concert in World’s Fair Park

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s 41st Annual Independence Day Concert, presented by the Lawson Family Foundation, will take place Friday, July 4, at 8:00 p.m. at the World’s Fair Park Amphitheater. This concert is part of the City of Knoxville’s Festival on the Fourth. No tickets are necessary to attend. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. View event details here.

Music Director Aram Demirjian leads the KSO in a concert honoring American history through notable orchestral works. Enjoy timeless patriotic classics, marches by John Philip Sousa, selections from iconic American cinema, and selections featuring local artist and musician W. James Taylor.

“July 4th is always a special day for Knoxville to come together and celebrate, and we’re very excited to be back in the World’s Fair Park Amphitheater, one of Knoxville’s most distinctive performance venues,” Demirjian said. “For me, this concert is a celebration of our country as well as our community, which is one of the many reasons I am so happy to be collaborating with W. James Taylor, one of Knoxville’s most unique and distinguished artists.”

The KSO is proud to partner with the City of Knoxville, the Lawson Family Foundation and WBIR Channel 10 for this concert. The concert will also be broadcast live on WBIR-TV.
