Music Lovers Making a Difference
Since 1952, the Knoxville Symphony League has supported the KSO through volunteer opportunities and social events.
One of the KSO’s major initiatives we support is the Knoxville Symphony Youth Ensembles, offering high-quality orchestral training for students ages 6–18 and filling the gap where many school music programs fall short.
Each year, the League raises more than $200,000 through our signature Symphony Ball and a series of Elegant Dining events including teas, luncheons, and dinners – sometimes with a theme but always delicious!

Elegant Dining | League Luncheons
Volunteer Involvement
League members play an active role in bringing music to life in our community. They:
- Host and assist with Elegant Dining events.
- Help coordinate the Symphony Ball silent auction.
- Greet guests at Youth Ensemble concerts.
- Provide refreshments for KSO musicians between school performances.
- Accompany KSO musicians to local libraries for Musical Story Time.
The Knoxville Symphony League offers a wonderful way to enjoy meaningful volunteer opportunities, connect with fellow music lovers, and help ensure that live symphonic music continues to inspire future generations.
